The Hilda Wind Power Project ("the Project") is a 104 MW wind electricity project located near Hilda in Cypress County, AB. The Project is comprised of 20, 5.2MW turbines and a substation and is expected to generate approximately 348,300 MWh per year for the Alberta electricity grid. Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are reduced as wind power is generated through the conversion of kinetic energy from wind to clean electricity which displaces an equivalent amount of electricity generated from other sources, including fossil fuels. The GHG emissions reductions for the Project will be quantified and created in accordance with the Quantification Protocol for Wind-Powered Electricity Generation, Version 1, March 2008.
