East Calgary Landfill Gas Capture and Combustion

The purpose of the East Calgary Landfill Gas Capture and Combustion Offset Project (Project) is to reduce methane emissions from the East Calgary Landfill by installing a system to capture the landfill gas before it is released to the atmosphere. Captured landfill gas (LFG) is combusted by a controlled flare. The Project meets the requirements of the Alberta Emission Offset System.
