The project will result in emissions reductions through the displacement of grid energy with renewable solar electricity. It is connected to the grid via a 25kV distribution line to the Innisfail 214S substation.
The project consists of approximately 16,512 LONGi Module 360W panels of type LR6-72BP-360M, 8,544 LONGi Module 365W panels of type LR6-72BP-365M, 13,896 LONGi Module 370W panels of type LR6-72HBD-370M and 29,688 LONGi Module 375W panels of type LR6-72HBD-375M. Production is metered via a Schneider Electric 8650 meter.
Prior to project initiation, the project site consisted of agricultural land. The baseline scenario for the electricity generated in the project is power generated on the Alberta grid.
The project is expected to produce approximately 38,087 MWh annually in year 1, dropping by 0.4% annually thereafter, for the lifetime of the project, expected to be 35 years.
