The Project consists of several interdependent actions including a production capacity increase using a new bleaching process, improved heat recovery to optimize thermal balance throughout the process, optimization of the glycol heating system, the redesign of the effluent heat exchanger network, the installation of additional heat exchangers, and improved waste water recovery. Actions relating to pulp pressate recovery are also included, as this decreases energy required to evaporate water in the final pulp drying process.
