The McBride Lake Offset Project Phase 1 (the Project) converts Renewable Energy Certificates, generated at McBride Lake wind farm (the Facility), an Ecologo certified wind-power electrical generation facility, from 2003 to 2007. The Project has been developed in accordance with Alberta Environment's Project Guidance Document, Project Verification Document and Quantification Protocol for Wind-Powered Electricity Generation. MWh of generation available for offset conversion are the net MWh available after reductions for on-site load and commercial and residential sales of the environmental attributes (including greenhouse gas reductions) associated with generation. Only eligible MWhs have been converted to offsets. Unsold or otherwise unallocated inventories of Renewable Energy Certificates from the Facility during the 2003 to 2007 period are converted to Offsets at the Emissions Intensity Factor of 0.65 tonnes CO2e / MWh, as set out in Alberta Environment's Project Guidance Document.
