Project Apollo (Aggregated Micro-renewables Pool for Solar and Wind)
The project is an aggregation of micro-generation, distributed renewable energy (DRE) systems – principally solar PV systems - on a variety of residential and small commercial properties located throughout Alberta. The DRE systems will reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Alberta by generating electricity through solar or wind power —a clean, renewable energy source compared to fossil fuel-based sources. These greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emission reductions have been generated in accordance with the Quantification Protocol for Distributed Renewable Energy Generation Version 1, March 2013.
